Every gamer must know this and it is almost certain that we are entering the last and final leg of the 8th generation consoles. Yeah, you read that right, we’re in the 8th gen of console gaming and most of us have only seen the second half . Whats exciting is its only going to get better over time. 2k19 started off pretty slowly for us gamers and it seemed like we were in for another monotonous year of game hunting and redundant spending. But its looks like theres a slight glimmer of hope for all of us eagerly waiting for whats in store in the near future. Word on the streets are pioneers like Mark Cerny (Sony) and Phil Spencer(Microsoft) have already confirmed that they have been working on next gen consoles for a while now. Explains why Sony pulled out of E3 this year.Apart from all the specs released which I do not want to dive(present at the end) into, the most intriguing thing to me about the PS5 is its backward compatibility which is the ability to play earlier gen games on the PS5. Also, according to Cerny the PS4 will have a price that is appealing to its buyers which is also a huge plus.Sony have also not confirmed whether they will be naming it the PS5 On the other hand Microsoft haven’t said much about their consoles specs but what we do know is that they’re working on two different console variants codenamed Anaconda and Lockheart with the former one being the more powerful.
Although this isn’t enough data to pinpoint how the final product of these two rival consoles are going shape out,It does confirm that we have some exciting times ahead of us with a lot to look forward to. Sony and Microsoft have never failed to surprise us, but will they be able to live up to the ever-changing wants and needs of the gaming realm? Only time will tell. We would love to hear about your opinions on next gen consoles. Let us know in the comments box below!
